Fire crews from Pewsey and Marlborough were sent to the incident but found no one was physically or medically trapped within the vehicles. The scene was made safe.

The 54-year-old woman driver, who was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Her injuries were initially believed to be minor, however, it’s since been confirmed by police that they are thought to be life-changing. She remains in hospital.
