Woman suffers broken leg and arm in road traffic collision near Swindon school

A woman has suffered a broken leg and broken arm in a road traffic collision near St Joseph’s Catholic College in Swindon late this afternoon.

The moped rider was injured when a silver Peugeot pulled out on her at a junction on Ocotal Way at around 4.45pm today, Tuesday 19 September.

The road was closed in both directions by police officers for a short time, while paramedics treated the casualty. She was then conveyed to Great Western Hospital.

The road was reopened at 5.30pm and was fully cleared by just before 6pm.

The driver of the Peugeot isn’t thought to have suffered any injuries.
