‘Woman raped by two men’ before police swarm TV chef’s Wiltshire pub

A woman was reportedly raped by two men at a TV chef’s pub in Wiltshire.

Police swarmed The Five Bells in Salt Lane, Salisbury, following reports of the serious sex attack in the early hours of Sunday morning (7 May).

The establishment was taken over by Max Halley, who regularly appears on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and ITV’s This Morning.

A witness claims they saw two men arrested and taken into separate police vans in connection with the investigation.

The Five Bells has remained closed since, with police and forensics attending the scene. It’s due to reopen tomorrow, according to a pub spokesperson.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We attended the Five Bells Pub in Salt Lane, Salisbury in the early hours of Sunday (07/05) following a call from a member of the public.

“Two men are currently under investigation in relation to a sexual assault.

“Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call us on 101 quoting log 54230047800.
