A woman pulled from a canal and revived by the emergency services has died in hospital this afternoon.
999 teams were called to the scene near St. Joseph’s Primary School at just before 10.30am, where the casualty was removed from the water and firefighters began resuscitation efforts.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “Following this morning’s incident in Devizes, we can confirm that the woman who was pulled from the canal has sadly died in hospital. 
“Her next of kin have been informed and are thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing.”
