Wiltshire woman, 52, found days after bleeding to death at home

A woman’s body was found days after she bled to death at home, an inquest heard.

52-year-old Clare Howell was discovered by police officers at her address in Dalewood Drive, in Laverstock, Salisbury, at about 11.30pm on 23 April.

During a hearing at Wiltshire and Swindon Coroner’s Court, it was confirmed that the bookkeeper was located in her bedroom with a traumatic laceration to her left wrist.

Neighbours said that they had not seen or heard from Ms Howell for several days prior to her body being found.

Her cause of death was a haemorrhage.

Wiltshire Police said they had ruled out any suspicious circumstances. The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
