Woman arrested after police called to welfare concern in Trowbridge

A woman’s been arrested in Trowbridge town centre after police were called to a welfare concern.

Officers attended the incident in Castle Street at around 6am this morning, where they were seen to chase the female around in Manvers Street before she was detained.

The 32-year-old was arrested for an outstanding warrant issued to Avon and Somerset Police.

She was taken to the Royal United Hospital for a check-up before being transferred over to the neighbouring force.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called to Castle Street in Trowbridge shortly before 6am this morning (24/07) following a report concerning the welfare of a 32-year-old woman.

“On arrival officers arrested her for an outstanding warrant for an offence in the Avon and Somerset area.

“She was taken to the RUH for a check-up before being transferred to Avon and Somerset police.”
