Woman, 24, ‘needed CPR after being spiked by injection’ out clubbing in Swindon

A woman claims she had to be resuscitated after being spiked by injections in a Swindon club.

The 24-year-old says she visited two establishments in the town centre before being given CPR and rushed to hospital on Friday night (28 January).

The victim is said to have visited The Wyvern Tavern and Power Lounge on her night out, before she approached police officers to report a man following her.

“I can’t really remember much, but I remember going outside Power Lounge when a man was following me so I went up to the police and told them a man is following me”, she told Wiltshire 999s.

Adding: “They went up to him to speak to him and then they took me to the back of their police car. I think they were just going to drop me off home.

“From there, I can’t remember much more. I know the police gave me chest compression outside as I stopped breathing.”

In total, medics found five needle entry wounds – three on her left upper arm, two on her lower right arm and one on her right wrist.

She was given various jabs in hospital, including one to fight hepatitis. The victim says she will be required to take further doses in several weeks, and again in six months.

Blood samples were taken and Wiltshire Police are understood to be carrying out forensic analysis.

Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
