Wiltshire Search and Rescue deployed in search for missing boy with Asperger’s

Wiltshire Search and Rescue has been deployed to help police across the county border look for a vulnerable missing person tonight.

Thames Valley Police are working to locate a 16-year-old boy with Asperger’s syndrome in Ashbury, Oxfordshire, earlier today.

Volunteers from across Wiltshire will travel to the village, less than two miles across the border near Swindon, to assist Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire with the operation.

The missing male was last sighted in the area of Uffington White Horse this evening, but could not be located there despite a police helicopter search.

A public missing person appeal has not yet been issued by Thames Valley Police.
