Wiltshire man dies after crashing into house in village near Reading

A man from Wiltshire has died after crashing into a house on a country road in Reading.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Mortimer Road, Grazeley, at around 10.30pm on Thursday, after a red Vauxhall Astra – carrying two people – collided a home.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital but has since passed away.

A passenger, also a man in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Detective Sergeant Tony Jenkins, of the Serious Collisions Investigations Unit, said: “Sadly a man has died following this road traffic collision and my thoughts remain with his family and friends at this time. His family are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.”
