Wiltshire man accused of making threats with machete near his house

A Wiltshire man is accused of making threats with a machete near his house.

Shaun Carroll denies a charge of threatening a person with a blade in a public place when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 4 October.

It’s alleged the 52-year-old got into a verbal argument with a male near his house at Old Railway Yard in Hullavington on 5 September this year.

It’s claimed Carroll produced a machete and threatened the male with it – causing him to fear that his face would be cut.

The case was sent to Swindon Crown Court. The defendant was released on unconditional bail to appear for a plea hearing on 3 November.
