Wiltshire Police have assisted the RSPCA in seizing three dogs today (Monday).
Officers, alongside the animal welfare charity, attended an address in Amesbury following concerns about the pets within a property.
A police dog handler also attended to support the operation to remove the three dogs.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Today Amesbury Neighbourhood officers in conjunction with the dog unit and RSPCA seized three dogs due to concerns about their welfare at the property.
“The investigation is ongoing with the RSPCA. We will not tolerate assaults on people or animals and will work closely with the RSPCA to protect all animals.”
