Wiltshire Air Ambulance lands for serious crash involving car in ditch near Devizes

Wiltshire Air Ambulance has landed near Devizes tonight following a serious-injury crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A361, at the junction with Marsh Lane, Rowde, at around 8.30pm following reports of an overturned car.

The vehicle is understood to have left the dual carriageway and flipped onto its roof in water alongside the busy main road out of Devizes toward Seend.

UPDATE: 20-year-old woman suffers life-threatening injuries in crash near Devizes


The air ambulance helicopter landed in a field a stone’s throw from the scene.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed at least one person has suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The A361 is likely to remain closed until the early hours of tomorrow tomorrow as police launch a collision investigation.
