Wiltshire Air Ambulance flies to Cheltenham after crash at car gathering

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to Gloucestershire yesterday evening, after a car collided with crowds at a gathering in Cheltenham.

At around 9pm, a red Volkswagen lost control and crashed into a number of people.

‘A number of people’ were injured in the serious incident, but exact numbers and the nature of their injuries are currently unknown.

A police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 9pm on Sunday we received a report of an incident at Kingsditch Trading Estate, Cheltenham, where a car had lost control and collided with a parked vehicle and a number of pedestrians.

“Some of the pedestrians were injured and attended hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“A 28-year-old man from Worcestershire has been reported for dangerous driving.”

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was not required on scene, and was stood down.
