Van’s back end sticks in the air after ditch crash on icy Wiltshire route

A van has crashed into a ditch in North Wiltshire, resulting in its back end sticking in the air.

It happened near the Waterway Nature Reserve car park, in Ashton Keynes, earlier this morning (Monday).

The vehicle is partially constricting the road, with motorists warned to negotiate it slowly and safely. Recovery for the vehicle has been arranged and no one’s believed to be hurt.

The news comes after Wiltshire Police told motorists to avoid untreated roads following a crash in Dilton Marsh.

A spokesperson said: “Roads Policing Unit are dealing with this one at The Hollow, Dilton Marsh. Please avoid untreated roads.

“You might think it will save time but then this happens and your day is spent waiting for recovery or us to resolve it.”
