UPDATE: Man, in 20s, suffers head injuries in attack in west Swindon

A man’s been seriously hurt when he was assaulted in a residential street in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to Holbein Close in Grange Park at around 10.30pm on Friday.

At just before midnight, detectives from Swindon CID were seen to be examining a stick on the ground with what appears to be blood on it in the middle of the road.

A DETECTIVE EXAMINES A BLOOD-COVERED STICK

Wiltshire 999s understands that ten people were witnessed running from the scene.

A young man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with head injuries.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: ““We were called to an assault near to Holbein Court, Swindon yesterday at approximately 10.30pm where a man in his 20s had been injured.

“He was taken to hospital with head injuries.

“Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing for witnesses.”
