Two people injured after car ploughs into bungalow in Salisbury street

Two people have been injured after a car ploughed into a bungalow in Salisbury.

Emergency services responded to the road traffic collision in Shelley Drive, off Stratford Road, shortly after 10.30am this morning (Wednesday).

A blue Vauxhall Astra smashed into a bungalow – with most of the car embedded inside the building.

A person inside the home and a person in the car sustained minor injuries.

Firefighters were required to use hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools at the scene, supporting in the extrication of one of the casualties.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “At around 10.35am this morning we responded after a car drove into a single storey property in Shelley Drive, Salisbury.

“The occupant of the property suffered minor injuries. No arrests have been made.”
