Two people arrested ‘after fleeing early-morning crash’ near Westbury

Two people have been arrested ‘after fleeing an early-morning crash’ near Westbury.

Police rushed to reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the B3098 Bratton Road at 12.59am today (Friday).

On arrival, officers found the occupants of a small white car has disappeared.

A police dog was called in to assist and two people were located nearby. They were subsequently arrested.

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

A 17-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of taking without owner’s consent.

They remain in custody for questioning.
