Traveller crashes car towing caravan into tree outside official North Wiltshire site

A traveller driving a car towing a caravan has crashed into a tree outside an official site in North Wiltshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Sutton Benger, on the B4069 between Lyneham and Chippenham at around 9am this morning following a report of the road traffic collision.

A roads policing officer at the incident told Wiltshire 999s that nobody suffered any serious injuries in the crash, but one person is being treated by paramedics in an ambulance.

The road is partially blocked with police directing traffic past the scene on a sharp bend directly outside the traveller site.

An ambulance, ambulance rapid response vehicle and four police cars are at the incident.
