Traffic is building on the M4 near Chippenham following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway close to Junction 17 at around 3.15pm this afternoon (Monday).
Google Maps suggests that there is approximately three miles of standstill or very slow moving traffic on the approach to the Chippenham junction. 
Eastbound appears to be open and flowing as usual.
