Three police officers injured after three-vehicle crash on A419 in Swindon

Three police officers have been injured after two police vehicles crashed on the A419.

They were responding to reports of a broken down vehicle when the incident happened near the White Hart Roundabout junction this morning (Monday).

Two police vehicles were involved in a road traffic collision with another car belonging to a member of the public.

Following the incident, which took place at about 7.30am, three Wiltshire Police officers attended hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The member of the public who was also involved in the collision was unhurt and was able to leave the scene.

“There were no arrests made in relation to this incident and the carriageway is now clear”, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.

Motorists faced significant delays on the A419 southbound – with delays of up to 40 minutes past the scene.
