Three men in van attempted to steal dog from owner in Devizes

Three men in a van have attempted to steal a dog from its owner in Devizes tonight.

At around 8pm today, 10 March, a man walking his husky in Brickley Lane was approached by the three men in a white Renault van who were asking for directions.

They then demanded that he hand over his dog to them.

Fortunately, the dog sensed something was wrong and began barking at the males and they made off in the van towards Jump Farm.

Wiltshire Police is warning dog owners to be alert at the times, reporting any suspicious sightings or encounters to them by calling 101.
