A number of lambs have been seriously injured in a dog attack in Corsham.

Farmer Liam Worsley posted photographs of the incident and his lambs’ injuries on Facebook this afternoon – Friday 10 February – just hours after the vicious assault.

He says that the dog, thought to be a Husky, was off its lead – around half a mile from its owner – on private land which has no public footpath and no right of way.

Liam believes that some sheep will pass away from ‘shock and puncture wounds’.

The injured orphan lambs are used in therapy work, supporting people with disabilities.

Wiltshire Police have been informed and are said to be investigating.

Anyone that witnessed the incident is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101.
