Teenager taken to place of safety following welfare incident in Chippenham

Emergency services responded to reports of a welfare concern in Chippenham today.

South Western Ambulance Service called police to the incident in the London Road area of the town shortly after 12.15pm this afternoon.

They requested assistance in locating a 17-year-old boy suffering a mental health episode.

At around 1pm, police officers and paramedics had located the teenager near Kwik Fit in The Causeway. He was taken to a place of safety.
