A teenager was stabbed in the hand and back at a country park in Swindon yesterday evening.
Emergency services were called to reports of a disorder in the car park at around 6.50pm, and as a result of this a 17-year-old boy suffered multiple stab wounds.
The victim is understood to have suffered his injuries 20 minutes prior to 999 crews arriving.
He was taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment, but his condition is not life-threatening.
Det Sgt Justin Downes, from Swindon CID, said: “Our investigation is ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“Although the incident was reported to us at 6.50pm, we believe the assault actually happened 20 minutes earlier, so we want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around that time to contact us.
“It is believed that immediately following the assault, a large group of people would have fled the area, both on foot and in vehicles, so may have caught people’s attention.”
