Teenage boy knifed in Marlborough attack as police guard crime scene

UPDATE: Police provide update on Marlborough stabbing as boy, 15, hospitalised


A teenage boy has been knifed in an attack in Marlborough today (Tuesday).

Police were called to reports of a stabbing on a footpath between Ducks Meadow and Orchard Road shortly after 3pm.

Ambulance crews treated a teenage boy, believed to be a Year 11 pupil from a nearby school, for a small slash wound.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injury is not described as life-changing or life-threatening.

The footpath where the assault took place has been cordoned off as a crime scene and an investigation is underway. No arrests have been made at this stage.
