Swindon man remanded in custody accused of kidnapping ex-girlfriend

A man has been remanded in custody accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend.

Police arrested the defendant following an alleged incident involving his ex-girlfriend on Sunday (4 September) – and later charged him with kidnap.

He is also charged with driving a motor vehicle whilst disqualified and without insurance in Akers Way.

Nurdin, of Oatlands, did not enter pleas to the alleged crimes.

An offence of kidnap cannot be heard by magistrates because it is indictable only and therefore the case was sent to Swindon Crown Court.

He will next appear for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 7 October. Magistrates remanded him into custody.
