Swindon man charged with four offences after police pursuit in Swindon

A man’s been charged following a police pursuit in Swindon on Wednesday.

Police officers stopped a motorcyclist in Beechcroft Road after the rider failed to stop for them in Cricklade Road at around 11pm.

Wiltshire 999s’ readers last night reported a large number of police vehicles in attendance near Sims Chippy in Upper Stratton following the short chase.

Colin Hawkins, 36, of Cowleaze Walk, Stratton St Margaret, has been charged with failure to stop a vehicle when required by police, failure to provide specimen for analysis, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.

He has been released on bail to appear before Swindon Magistrate’s Court on 18 May.
