Swindon domestic abuser jailed over violent attacks on girlfriend

A domestic abuser has been jailed over a violent attacks on his then girlfriend.

Jack Cole was convicted by a jury at Swindon Crown Court – after he denied the abuse.

The 21-year-old was found guilty of four charges against the young woman, including: two counts of assault by beating, non-fatal intentional strangulation and common assault.

Three of the assaults took place on 26 June 2022, whilst the other assault happened on 23 August 2022.

On 11 August this year, he was jailed for 19 months.

The defendant, of Duchess Way, Swindon, was also slapped with a five-year restraining order – prohibiting the him from contacting his victim or attending her address.
