Swindon bus passenger arrested for ‘touching children inappropriately’

A Swindon bus passenger has been arrested for ‘touching children inappropriate’.

Police are investigating after a member of the public called 999 to report an incident on the number 7 bus travelling towards the town centre on Tuesday (19 September).

It’s said that whilst on the bus between 4.30pm and 5pm, which came from Stratton St Margaret, they witnessed a man acting inappropriately towards a group of children on a bus.

He allegedly touched the faces and hair of youngsters thought to be aged 12-14.

A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection to the incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
