Suspected stalker arrested after eluding police officers for three nights in a row

A suspected stalker who managed to elude police officers responding to calls about him has been arrested, a police inspector has said.

Officers had failed to locate the man in the West Swindon area for three nights in a row, but in the early hours of this morning (Friday 15 January) an arrest was made.

Wiltshire Police said the suspect, a 31-year-old local man, was taken to Gablecross Police Station, held on suspicion of stalking. He remains in custody.
