A 25-year-old woman and 28-year-old man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of production of a class B drug, money laundering, abstracting electricity and entering the UK illegally.

Sergeant James Rodrigues said: “This was a good find and a positive warrant for officers from the local Community Policing Teams who have seized a quantity of cannabis, and arrested two people.

“It’s really important that members of the public feel confident in reporting suspected drug activity in their area to police so we can build an intelligence picture and act on the information we receive.

“We know how negatively drug activity can impact on a neighbourhood and we are committed to dealing with those engaged in this kind of criminality.”

They remain in custody at Gablecross Police Station at this time.
