Suspected drug dealer arrested after police raid property in Corsham

A suspected drug dealer was arrested when police carried out a warrant yesterday.

Officers pulled raid a first-floor flat in Orchard Road at sometime around 5pm, using a battering ram to force open the door.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He has since been released under investigation.

A heavy police presence was seen in the street when four PCSOs carried out door-to-door enquiries as detectives worked within the flat, gathering evidence.

Police dog Boris, and handler PC Simon Goodwin, arrived at the property where the warrant was executed at around 6.30pm.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “At about 5.20pm yesterday (08/04) our officers attended Orchard House in Corsham to undertake a warrant.

“A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He has since been released under investigation.”
