Suspected drink driver arrested after crash outside primary school in Pewsey

The driver of a car involved in a crash in Pewsey this afternoon has been arrested.

The two-vehicle collision happened near St Francis School on Marlborough Road at around 2.30pm.

Police officers arrested one person on suspicion of drink driving after blowing 106 on a roadside breath test. The suspect was taken to Melksham custody.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol and remains in custody.”
