Search volunteers and police hunt for 56-year-old woman missing in Swindon

Search and rescue volunteers and the police are hunting for a woman in Swindon after she went missing nearly 24 hours ago.

56-year-old Tina Davis was last seen at her home in Fry Close, Rushey Platt, yesterday at 4.30pm.

Today a major search operation is underway in the Rushey Platt and Wichelstowe area, with dog units and officers seen in the undergrowth on the former railway line footpath up towards Old Town.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire a police said: “She’s described as white, of medium build, 5ft 3′ tall with blonde hair.

“We would urge either Tina or anyone who has seen her, to contact police immediately.

“If you have information please call Wiltshire Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.”

Wiltshire Search and Rescue are involved in the search, and the police helicopter was overhead last night.
