Search operation continues ten hours after Salisbury woman went missing

A major search operation is continuing this afternoon ten hours after a woman went missing.

Police say 65-year-old [name redacted] was last seen at between 6.30am and 7am this morning in the Windlesham Road area of Salisbury.

Wiltshire Search and Rescue was called in shortly after her disappearance, and dozens of specially trained volunteers are now involved in the mission to locate her.

Special constables from Wiltshire Police’s UAV (drone) unit are also assisting at the scene providing an eye in the sky. Dog units were also said to be involved in the early stages of the search.

She is described as white, around five foot tall and of very slim build, with fair hair, green eyes and brown glasses. It is not known what she is wearing.

Anyone with information relating to her whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting log 48 (of today).
