RSPCA visit traveller incursion in Swindon after concerns raised about dog

The RSPCA has visited a traveller incursion in Swindon over concerns about a dog today.

Wiltshire Police informed the animal charity about a number of calls they received regarding the welfare of a terrier-type dog on the illegal site off Greenbridge Road.

Members of the public reported to police that the dog was chained up in the blazing sunshine.

But when an RSPCA arrived at the scene at around 7.45pm, the dog was free to roam and had access to water. The wildlife officer spoke to those at the site and confirmed he had no concerns.
