Renewed appeal over whereabouts of man who went missing nine years ago

The family of a man who went missing from Swindon over nine years ago are appealing for information regarding his whereabouts.

Adam Wilmott went missing on September 27, 2011 – he was 36 years old and homeless at the time of his disappearance.

He often stayed at local hostels or with friends but he would always maintain contact with his family. Adam was last seen leaving the Great Western Hospital, Swindon.

His family have stated that Adam would also frequent areas of Bristol including Fishponds, Hartcliffe, Speedwell, Eastern and St George.

Officers continue to review the case and identify any new lines of enquiry and we are in regular contact with the Missing People charity to help locate him.

The family reported Adam as missing in April 2014. Family describe his disappearance as out of character and they are desperate for any news on Adam’s whereabouts.

Adam is described as white, medium build with short brown hair on the sides of his head but bald on top. He occasionally had some facial hair but more often than not liked to be clean shaven.

Anyone with information as to Adam’s whereabouts or anyone who may have seen Adam since 2011, should contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
