Pride flag attacked twice as Wiltshire Police launch investigation

Wiltshire Police has launched an investigation after a Pride flag was attacked twice.

Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and viewing CCTV footage as part of their probe into the criminal damage incidents at an address in Amesbury.

The first incident happened on Friday June 30 between 10.15pm and 10.50pm on Millgreen Road.

It’s believed two young men were involved in pulling down the flag, damaging it beyond repair.

The second incident took place on Tuesday July 4 around 5.40pm at the same address.

It’s believed a group of teenagers attempted to remove the Pride flag but were disturbed by the occupier who was then shouted at before the group left.

A force spokesperson said: “Officers have carried out a number of enquiries including house to house investigations.

“We are now seeking your help. Did you see anything or capture something suspicious on your dash camera that could help with our enquiries?

“If you did, please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54230070451.”
