Police seized flipped vehicle on M4 – after investigation reveals ‘driver’ had no licence

Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the M4 this morning (29 June).

The incident involved a silver Ford Mondeo estate which had overturned on the hard shoulder between junctions 16 (Swindon) and 15 (Swindon) at around 7am.

Despite the dramatic smash, the driver suffered only minor injuries.

A short investigation by police at the scene revealed the driver did not have a driving license.

They were reported to court for the offence, and the vehicle was seized.
