Police respond to welfare incident at Chinese restaurant in Chippenham

Police officers attended a welfare incident at a Chinese restaurant this morning.

Several police vehicles were parked outside The Fortune Inn in Chippenham as they responded to a report of a concern for a person’s safety.

Wiltshire Police say officers provided “advice and support” to a person at the property in Sheldon Road.

Officers first attended the scene shortly before 9.30am, the force confirmed at Wiltshire 999s.

They were stood down shortly before 11am, when officers were satisfied all was in order.
