Police officers swarm on Swindon town centre road after vehicle stolen

More than fifteen police officers swarmed on a number of Swindon town centre roads on Thursday morning, following a vehicle theft.

A car was stolen from the Highworth area and on finding the vehicle abandoned off Manchester Road at around 10am, officers conducted a search of the area.

Police officers, including specialist firearms units, were seen running down alleyways and jumping over fences in to gardens in the Rosebery Street and Graham Street area.
