Police find man’s body in woodland after ‘concern for safety’ call

Police have found a man’s body in woodland after a ‘concern for safety’ call.

Officers were deployed on the A363, off Sally in the Wood, from about 10am today (Thursday).

A dog unit was involved in a search following reports about the welfare of a man in the area.

The fire service attended the incident at around midday. It’s understood firefighters were required to help recover the body.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Formal identification will take place in due course.

“Although it is early stages, we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”
