Police make arrest after ambulance service find man stabbed in Salisbury

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Salisbury last night.

Police responded to the incident in Romsey House, Friary Lane, at around 9pm following a call from South Western Ambulance Service on their arrival at the address.

A man in his 30s suffered a stab wound to the leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 30-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in custody this afternoon.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called by the ambulance service to an incident at Romsey House, Salisbury at approximately 9pm yesterday (09/07) where a man in his 30s had been stabbed in the leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

“People may see an increased police presence in this area of the city while we continue our investigations.”
