Police launch hate crime investigation after blind woman coughed on

Police have launched an investigation into an assault on a blind woman yesterday evening.

A man coughed on his victim when she asked him to keep his distance in Halifax Road in Melksham.

The offender left the scene after the assault, and the victim was left upset and distressed as a result.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: We are now treating this as a hate crime incident and would appeal to anyone with information to get in touch.”
