Police inspector thanks fast food chain for feeding officers for free

A police boss has thanked a fast food chain for feeding his officers for free this morning.

All McDonald’s restaurants are due to closed later today to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Police Inspector Sparrow gave a “big thank you to the staff”.

Adding “Salisbury Police are still here to support you when you need us.

“We only ask that you follow the government’s guidelines and be good to each other to ease the demand on the public services that we all rely on. Fortunately we have a great community in Salisbury, we’ve been through a lot already and we will persevere through what is to come.

“Random acts of kindness really do lift the spirits of everyone involved. Whilst maintaining the recommended social distancing, please look out for those around you that need your support.

“Thank you and we look forward to the return of McDonald’s alongside many other businesses caught up in this crisis.”
