Police recover ‘exotic animals’ dumped in woodland near Wiltshire

Police have recovered ‘exotic animals’ found dumped in a woodland near Wiltshire.

Gloucestershire Constabulary responded to a report about abandoned exotic pets in a woods in Tetbury, north of Malmesbury, this morning (Thursday).

On arrival at the scene, approximately three miles from the Wiltshire border, officers located various enclosures with creepy-crawlies inside.

One enclosure contained a scorpion, whilst another is believed to have been home to a spider.

Police, from the Cirencester Neightbourhood Policing Team and Rural Crime Team collected the items and took them to an exotic pet specialist out of the Gloucestershire area.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting INC 0085 of 28/12/23.
