Police concerned about Swindon girl, 13, who dissapeared after leaving for school

Police in Swindon are searching for a schoolgirl who disappeared on her way to school.

13-year-old Sophia Lopez left for school at around 8am today (10 September) but she never arrived, and no one has heard from her since.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We are growing increasingly concerned about 13-year-old Sophia Lopez who has been reported missing.

“She left her home address in the Parks area of Swindon at 8am and did not arrive at school.

“She is about 5ft 2in tall, has olive skin and long dark hair. She was wearing her school uniform when she left home.

“Sophia speaks English as a second language.

“Anyone who knows where she might be is asked to call us as a matter of urgency on 999 quoting log 144 of today (10/09).”
