Police ask owner of cannabis plants in meadow to ‘pop into police station’

Wiltshire police officers are asking the owner of a number of cannabis plants left in a Salisbury meadow to ‘pop down to the police station’.

The plants were discovered in Middle Street Meadow, Harnham.

A police spokesperson said: “Unfortunately for you, cultivation of these plants is illegal and we have destroyed them. If you wish to dispute this then pop on down to Bourne Hill Police Station and we will happily have a chat with you!

“For those of you who are not keen botanists, these plants are Cannabis.

“PCSO Jamie Boyland was on bike patrol when he was alerted by a member of the public about these plants. A search was made of the Middle Street Meadow and subsequently four Cannabis plants were found.”
