The blaze was swiftly extinguish by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet, a Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.

Police were also called to the Greensquare home – arresting a woman aged in her 50s.

The suspect, who lives at the address, was held in custody on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. She has since been released on bail.

Nobody was injured in the fire, Wiltshire Police confirmed.

Drone photos revealed pile of ash on the ground alongside an upturned sofa, with the window frames burn and guttering melted.

Firefighters remained at the incident until shortly before 11pm, as checks were made to ensure the property was free of fire spread.
