Police and ambulance called to ‘mass brawl’ outside pub in central Swindon

Emergency services were called to a ‘mass brawl’ outside a public house in central Swindon last night.

At least six police vehicles and several ambulances attended the scene in Manchester Road at around 11pm, just moments before the pub was due to close following the government’s coronavirus advice.

Officers stood guarding the door to The Tap and Barrel as paramedics wearing surgical masks and aprons treated casualties – one man suffered injuries when he attempting to stop the fight.
